We say it a lot around here — we’d rather show you the work than tell you it’s good. So when someone else shows the work for us, unsolicited, camera rolling and all, we don’t just appreciate it. We want to share it.
A few weeks ago, a TCG creator who goes by SWU Cube TCG posted a video called “Snake Skins by Viper Sleeves: Better Than The Rest?” He wasn’t paid to make it. He found Snakeskins on his own, tried them, and only joined our affiliate program after he’d already decided he liked them enough to tell people.
Here’s the part that gave us the title for this post. Before he ever turned the camera on, he’d already sleeved his 6- and 7-year-olds’ daily-play decks in Snakeskins and left them there for over a month — real kid hands, real daily shuffling, real wear and tear. When he checked back in, they were still in what he called “mint condition.” That’s not a lab test. That’s the toughest test there is.
He came into it a little skeptical, and for good reason. He’d been burned by batch-to-batch quality swings from Dragon Shield, and he used Ultimate Guard Cortex as his budget benchmark — durable, he said, but with a shuffle that felt “gummy” and visible crinkling over time. Against that backdrop, he called out the “papery rasp” shuffle feel on Snakeskins, and no corner-catching — which, if you’ve played with sleeves that snag on a corner mid-shuffle, you know exactly the annoyance he means.
He put it to the test on camera, too — a side-by-side durability check where the Cortex sleeve split under pressure and the Snakeskins didn’t.
And then he said something that meant more to us than any of it: he name-checked Jim directly, thanked us for the customer service and how fast the order shipped, and called us “a small independent company” he “cannot recommend highly enough.” We’re a family business. That kind of thing doesn’t happen because of a marketing plan — it happens because a real person had a real experience and wanted other players to know about it.
His closing line was simple: “Viper sleeves. Check them out. This is a good one.” We’ll take it.

That’s the whole reason we do this — not to convince you Snakeskins are good, but to make it easy for you to find out for yourself. Sleeve a deck in ours, run it against what you’ve got now, and hold us to it. Apparently, so will a couple of six- and seven-year-olds.
